we are happy to inform you that we have just published the Call for Submissions for the new SPRIND Challenge „Circular Biomanufacturing“. Please refer to https://www.sprind.org/en/challenges/biomanufacturing/ for all the details. In a nutshell, this Challenge could be interesting to you or your network, because it… 

• supports the development of bio-based production systems fed by carbonaceous waste streams 
• offers funding of up to € 1.5M per team for the 12 month of stage 1 of the Challenge 
• offers further funding in two subsequent staging lasting a combined 2 years and providing additional funding of up to € 4.5M 
• is open for start-ups and other companies, universities, research institutes and other institutions from EU member states, EFTA countries, Israel and the UK 
• allows for cooperations and sub-contracts with institutions outside the aforementioned group of countries 
• all IP stays with the teams 
• offers an unbureaucratic application and contracting 
• allows the flexible use of funds 

Deadline for applications is September 17th 2023 at 23:59 CET.
